WHAT A WEEKEND...

Had an awesome weekend just gone as my own night Freq! launched it's summer sessions residency @ The Royal in Derby. It was our 1st party in what was the start of a series of 3 covering june, july & august and completely went of as we took over The Red Room in true Freq! style. The aim of our summer parties is to keep the brand going strong through summer, working with some real underground talent with our first party headlined by *riffraff & Zoo Project resident Lee Pennington who did a great job and really enjoyed playing for us. Also playing was Oli Brooks from techno night Fragment in Sheffield and he too played a great set supported by myself and the residents.

Freq! is gathering real speed at the minute and gaining a real reputation as an amazing party with unrivalled atmosphere, good djs, quality music and most importantly a good up for it crowd and with every party so far in '09 being awesome it look's set to continue. Once we get through the summer we will have a very specail birthday party to celebrate a big first year and we are looking at healiners for this already but in the meantime we just continue our techno onslaught over the summer.

 

WHATS NEXT...

My next gig will be at Hi-Jacked this coming saturday the 4th of July @ Rockshots in Chesterfield. It's a relativly new night but these guys are trying there best to put chesterfield on the more underground house/techno map which is always a good thing. I'm the headliner on the night supported by there band of merry residents so i'm really looking forward to this one.

Freq! Pres. *riffraff w/t LEE PENNINGTON...

So Freq! has launched it's next plot in the takeover over of the Derby club scene and this time we take a small diversion from lots of local talent on the bill and we invite another underground success story in the shape of *riffraff. After setting up shop in Middlesborough these guys now hold regular residencies @ Basics in Leeds and The Zoo Project in Ibiza and are someone Freq! is looking to follow in the footsteps of. 18.07.09 Freq! w/t MATT COOPER (DIRTY DISCO)...
The second party in our Freq! summer sessions series we have changed our date which is usually the 4th week of the month to the 3rd as to not clash with global gathering, so now we are doing a 'Global Warm Up Party' on the 18th of July with mixmag future hero and Dirty Disco resident Matt Cooper. Matt is a legend up north for his sets using the efx to the max having been compared to those of James Zabiela, so we are really looking forward to having him down. I'm featured in December's issue of i-DJ Magazine as 'One To Watch' which is awesome news and amazing publicity for myself just at the right time aswell. Freq! Cast .003 Dj Mix /// DOWNLOAD NOW...
Feels like ages since i did a dj mix which actually might be because it has been ages since i did one. I've been non stop busy with other things which i'm sure you all know about but i did a brand new one over the weekend and it's now available to download from the media section of my site, all feedback more than welcome. It's very summery in a deep/tech house vein inspired by all the warm weather and a recent trip to spain.

Two of my tracks Outcast & Through The K Hole have been signed to Italys Neurotraxx which is excellent news as the label are constantly featuring in all the major download charts and receive plays from the likes of Richie Hawtin & Dubfire to name a few so i'm really excited to say the least. Typecast is one of 3 new tunes i've finished and the other two have been signed to another label and details will be released as soon as it's all confirmed. My Deathborough EP is out now exclusive to Beatport for the next 4 weeks on Third Wave Music which is a German label and part of the award winning Night Drive Music Group. I'm pleased to say two of my fave tracks i produced 'Back To My Deep & No Mans Land' have been signed to Nottingham based Shrink Records and will be out on the 12.06.09 complete with remixes from label artists Nick Lawson who turns out 2 fine remixes.

AQUA BOOGIE EP /// PRODUCTOS BMM...
2 of my deeper tracks i did a while back have been signed to Spanish label Productos BMM i'm pleased to say. The tracks were originally sent out as an ep with two other deep house tracks which have also been signed to Uk label Shrink Records, so once all the contracts have been signed and sealed i will reveal more details then.

My remix of Roberto Romero's Peculiar Particular is out and on all the best download sites now. Its on my Myspace page in my player and was released on Productos BMM which is a spanish label based in Madrid.
